The Twinning Project consists of three main components:

  1. Implementation of the new curriculum and related teacher professional development and capacity building of education institutions aligned to the new curriculum requirements
  2. Quality assurance system, procedures and mechanisms in and for the education sector with reference to the demands of the Kosovo Education Strategic Plan (2011-2016), and
  3. Essential and basic supplies required for the new curriculum for priority schools.

There will be many field mission taking place involving short term experts (STE) and medium term experts (MTE) from the Member States related to the three project components. All activities are usually planned for 6-month periods and set up with the so called Operative Side Letter (OSL). These OSL have to be approved in the quarterly meetings by the Project Steering Committee. In these quarterly meetings, quarterly project reports will also be approved.
